pcdome.hu Arma 2 preview translated PDF Print E-mail

A couple of days agon bardosy, an Arma community member, wrote a preview about Arma 2 for pcdome.hu and he told us than he would try to get the preview translated into English and ZiiiP has done that.
So, when you are interested reading an Arma 2 preview from someone within the actual Arma community make sure to read the complete translation by clicking "Read more.."!

Furthermore, I've gotta say this preview version is pretty instabil. About half of the times I entered a vehicle, the game dropped to the desktop immediately. However, to my surprise, the game ran fluently on my PC without any LoD issues. Thus the polygon increase on the objects that got close to me was not noticable. Though it's also true that the AI took half of the CPU power in ArmA/OFP which isnt too cutting edge as of now.

The campaign offer us a great deal of freedom. There are many many tasks from which we can choose. Of course we must play through the main missions, but the sequence in which we play thorough them is not fixed. Like in ArmA, we might be given further objectives on the fly, but we are free to decline them. For example when we stumble upon the secret weapons-storage in the temple, the priest dude asks us not to report that to our superiors, and it's up to us to report it or not report it. There's so much to do that in the beginning, even skillful ArmA/OFP player can lose their focus among the vast number of objectives.

We found a new Arma 2 preview, this time done by hwupgrade.it. The preview itself is in Italian and it contains a few new screenshots as well as a new video with some old and new footage.
